Ecclestone: Is Alonso Ferrari's problem?

Fernando Alonso finished for the third time in four seasons in the honorary place of vice-world champion against Sebastian Vettel who dominates the F1 since its first title acquired in 2010. Certain tensions arose within the Team Ferrari, the Asturian having notably shown himself criticism of the F138's lack of performance which only allowed him to win twice this year. “People think the Ferrari name is enough to win, but I don't know if the problem is Ferrari or Alonso,” asks Bernie Ecclestone in the Spanish newspaper Marca. “I hope he hasn't lost the enthusiasm he had. He'll lose it if he thinks his team can't give him the car he wants. »

The question of who is stronger between Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso offers endless debates among enthusiasts. The German phenomenon and the Hispanic star in any case offer very different characters, as the director of the FOM points out. “They are also different, as drivers and as people, and therefore we cannot compare them. It depends on who you prefer. I really like Alonso and I like Vettel. Sebastian is the closest to people. Fernando is a winner and I want to see him win. To be honest, I was hoping he would win the title this year. »
