Bernie Ecclestone could well remain at the head of the FOM despite the probable purchase of the commercial rights of the F1 from Liberty Media to CVC Capital Partners. The future of the F1 financier has raised many questions since the sale of the discipline seems to have materialized.
“They want me for three years, explained Bernie Ecclestone to the Reuters agency. The F1 financier clarified that he would not travel to Singapore for the Grand Prix in order to follow the ongoing negotiations. “They (CVC) want me in London to help them with the discussions. I can't afford to be away for five or six days. »
A meeting within F1 management is planned for Tuesday September 13. The sale could be confirmed there as well as the new director.
