Ecclestone: 'Schumacher will be competitive'

« I think he's going to give a flying lesson to one or two of them. » It is with these words taken up by Reuters that Bernie Ecclestone, the big financier of the Formula 1, spoke of the return of Michael Schumacher during the European Grand Prix in Valencia. During a press conference given on Tuesday, the Briton indicated that if Michael Schumacher was coming back, it was because he was ready. “ He wouldn?t have decided to come back if he didn?t think he was competitive and Michael is a competitive guy ", added Ecclestone.

Bernie Ecclestone, on the other hand, was surprised by the return of the German driver. “ I think I was as surprised as Willi Weber was ? his manager? because he didn't know [neither] that he was going to come back. I think Luca di Montezemolo [the president of Ferrari] had to convince him He concluded.
