There were only 8 thousandths yesterday afternoon between Max Verstappen et Valtteri Bottas, there are now 7 tenths to the advantage of the Dutchman. The championship leader gave a slap in the face during FP3 by signing a 1.31.300. He is the only driver to have gone below the 1.32 mark.

His first pursuer, the Finn Valtteri Bottas, having only signed a 1.32.047, therefore finds himself very far from the best time. In third position, we find Carlos Sainz and Ferrari. The Spanish driver achieved a great performance to raise his car in the top 3. Outside the top 10 yesterday, Sergio Perez moved up the rankings this afternoon, ranking 4th. However, he remains far from his teammate since there is almost 1 second of difference between the two drivers. Red Bull

To find a trace of the seven-time world champion, you have to go down to 5th position. Lewis Hamilton, not satisfied with the settings of his Mercedes, only offered a 1.32.266. Confirmation therefore that Lewis Hamilton is behind his teammate, as has been the case since the start of the weekend. To see if the Briton will suddenly wake up, as is usually the case, during the qualifying session.

The top 10 is completed by Lando Norris (6th), Fernando Alonso (7th) and Esteban Ocon (8th) who hoist again Alpine in the top 10. Pierre Gasly is in 9th position ahead Daniel Ricciardo (10th).
Bad session on the other hand for Charles Leclerc (11th) and especially for the drivers Aston Martin. Green cars fail in 13th place for Lance stroll and 14th place for Sebastian Vettel. Hard wake-up call for Aston Martin which was on the podium two weeks ago in Baku. Also note Yuki tsunoda which only ranks 17th between the two Williams.

Many times were canceled by the marshals for non-compliance with track limits during these FP3s. For the vast majority, this is turn No. 6. An additional fact to take into account less than two hours before the qualifying session at Paul Ricard.
