FP3: Vettel sets the best time in Melbourne

Sebastian Vettel unofficially broke the record at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne by completing a lap in 1'23''380 with his Ferrari SF70H on ultra-soft tires during the final practice session for the Australian GP. His teammate Kimi Räikkönen saw his session disrupted by a puncture, but the Finn was still able to take 4th place, 6 tenths behind his teammate behind the Mercedes W08 from Valtteri Bottas et Lewis Hamilton which are more than 4 tenths apart.

Nico Hulkenberg completed the top five on his Renault RS 17 more than a second behind the benchmark, while his teammate Jolyon Palmer finished penultimate on the super soft tires just behind Antonio Giovinazzi (Sauber) who will replace Pascal Wehrlein for the rest of the weekend.

Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) ranks 6th ahead Romain Grosjean (Haas) Et les Toro Rosso de Carlos Sainz Jr. and Daniil Kvyat. Kevin Magnussen (Haas) completed the top ten ahead of Felipe Massa (Williams) and Max Verstappen (Red Bull). Stoffel Vandoorne (McLaren) ranked 15th between his teammate Fernando Alonso et Esteban Ocon (ForceIndia).

Lance stroll (Williams) received a 5-place grid penalty in Melbourne after going off track in the final session, forcing Williams to change his gearbox.
