Eric Boullier replaces Bob Bell

Former Technical Director of Renault F1 Team, Bob Bell became General Manager of the team after the departure of Flavio Briatore. The Briton, who leaves Renault F1, is replaced by Eric Boullier.

Gérard Lopez, President of the Renault F1 Team comments: “We would like to thank Bob Bell for his contribution to the team's performance and for his help during the transition period since Genii Capital became a shareholder of the Renault F1 Team. We are entrusting the role of General Director to Eric Boullier and we are confident that his management will allow us to achieve our sporting objectives. During the 2010 season, we assessed what is necessary to continue to improve our level of competitiveness and we believe we are well positioned for the challenges ahead. »

Eric Boullier, Team Principal and Managing Director, adds: “Since the start of the season, the Renault F1 Team has demonstrated its ability to adapt to the need for renewal. The great efforts put in were immediately reflected on the track. Today, we have a competitive car and an extremely motivated team. I am proud of the trust placed in me to continue this good work and I will make all the necessary efforts to ensure the Renault F1 Team returns to the forefront as soon as possible. »
