F1 testing – Räikkönen cannot take the wheel

If Kimi Räikkönen were to replace Romain Grosjean for the last two days of winter testing at the Catalunya circuit, Lotus F1 Team started the penultimate day with its reserve driver Davide Valsecchi. The British team indicated that the 2007 world champion was too unwell to take the wheel of the car. The team ofenstone faces a new problem as testing is about to end.

Romain Grosjean was already on his way back when his team called him back to replace his teammate. The Frenchman is expected to return to Barcelona in the coming hours to get back behind the wheel of the E21. After two first days contested in delicate conditions, the 2011 GP2 Series champion could benefit from better weather at the wheel of the car. Despite everything, Lotus hopes that the Finn will have enough attack tomorrow to return to the track.
