  • Ferrari ends these 2024 winter tests on a good note! Like Thursday, the Team rises to the top of the timesheet thanks to Charles Leclerc, author of the best time in 1'30″322 on C5 tires. The Monegasque, however, did not beat the absolute best time of these pre-season tests, which was achieved on Thursday by his teammate Carlos Sainz in 1'29 ″ 921.
  • The Ferrari driver is ahead of George Russell, who set a 1'30"368 (+0"046) on C4 tires for his part, and Guanyu-Zhou (+0″325) in C4 tires. Max Verstappen achieved the 4th fastest time of the session, four tenths from the benchmark.
  • The most diligent team on the track is once again Haas, who completed 169 laps in total with Nico Hulkenberg et Kevin Magnussen. Alexander albon, sole pilot Williams on track today, is the driver to have completed the most laps with 121 laps this Friday.
  • At Alpine, the end of the day was disrupted by a small incident: a carbon element above the right front wheel broke and landed on the track 40 minutes from the checkerboard, without impact on the progress of the tests. The Norman was unable to return to the track at the end of the day, and had to settle for 15th time at 1″827 from Charles Leclerc. Alpine completed 102 laps this Friday.
  • The morning of this third day of driving was disrupted by a long interruption. While Thursday's day was disrupted by a flow grid that came loose outside the curb at turn 11, the same thing happened this Friday morning when Sergio Pérez passed less than a half -hour after the start of the session. A red flag was then waved and neutralized the running for 1 hour 15 minutes. Consequence: the one-hour break planned for lunch was canceled to compensate.
