Esteban Ocon incomprehension about his lack of performance

Repeatedly for Esteban Ocon during the qualifying session yesterday afternoon. The 24-year-old Frenchman, already eliminated in Q1 last weekend, finds himself once again in 17th position on the starting grid. At the same time, his teammate Alonso hoisted his Alpine in third place.
“Our pace did not improve this weekend unfortunately, relates the French pilot ofAlpine. We tried different things this weekend but there is always something missing. I thought I had a good lap today... I don't really understand why we are so far away but we have to find solutions. »
Esteban Ocon will however be able to choose his tires at the start at 15:00 p.m. Could this help the Frenchman move up the rankings? Last weekend, starting from the same position, he finished in 14th place.
