Important developments to come at Lotus

After much more convincing winter tests this season compared to 2014, particularly in terms of kilometers covered, Lotus will head towards Australia and Melbourne, scene of the first round of the championship, on March 15.

The technical director Nick Chester is satisfied with these first runs, and adds that several major new features are under development. « This year is looking much better. The Power Unit (Mercedes, Editor’s note) is a real step forward. The chassis is also a progression. The Power Unit is efficient and extremely reliable. We only used one engine for these tests. Its integration is excellent, and brings us real benefits, particularly in the organization of our cooling system. The car has already evolved during testing, and some changes are in the works for Melbourne. The biggest developments are planned for rounds two and three (in Malaysia, March 27-29 and in China, April 10-12, Editor’s note)."
