Visible developments at Hockenheim

McLaren was able to use his blown diffuser which had been abandoned at the British Grand Prix. The English team had been faced with overheating problems during testing and had to postpone developments until the German Grand Prix. The MP4-25s had new low-mounted exhausts connected to the diffuser last weekend to solve this problem. This system was accompanied by significant modifications to the side channels of the diffuser. But this improvement was not enough for Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton to get on the podium.

The main evolution of Mercedes door on the rear wing. There are two large openings in the middle of the fin, to increase its aerodynamic effect on the car. This development, although it did not allow the Mercedes to achieve a good result, will undoubtedly be kept in Hungary for this weekend's Grand Prix.

Ferrari has also made several small adjustments to its F10B. The men of Maranello have lengthened the side channels as well as the low exhausts so that the result is even more effective. They also redesigned the design of the second flap of the front wing and reconfigured the engine mapping to increase hot gases during deceleration phases. It would seem that these additions made it possible to raise the pace of the Ferraris, if not their sporting spirit.

As for Williams, the team focused on the rear diffuser which looks like two drops of water to that of the Red Bull. This diffuser has been designed to work in the best possible way with the F-Duct. Further improvements are expected for the next Grand Prix, to adapt to the more winding Hungarian circuit.
