F1 / Bahrain: Force India emerges from troubled waters

During this rather special weekend in Bahrain, the Force India team went through all the colors. Red first, with the fright of four of its mechanics taken advantage of in the clashes between the police and the demonstrators. But once the race was over, the Force India light quickly turned green thanks to Paul di Resta's sixth place. The Indian team recorded its best result of the season.

“Seeing everything that happened this weekend, I am relieved to see the result that our team achieved”, comments Bob Fernley, the director of the Indian team. “We had a very good strategy with Paul's car and he drove perfectly. Luckily we saved some tires on Saturday in order to change the tires right at the end of their optimal window. Paul's sixth place is deserved and equals his best result in F1. Too bad Nico (Hulkenberg) experienced clutch problems during the first lap. Without that, he would undoubtedly finish in the points. But with everything that happened to us, I would like to congratulate the entire team and thank each of them for contributing to this result. »
