Red Bull took a step forward in qualifying since the Chinese Grand Prix by once again placing himself at the forefront with pole Sebastian Vettel and third place for Mark Webber who surround the MP4-27 of Lewis Hamilton. Having had a better start to the season than last year, Mark Webber is very impatient to see what he can do in the race knowing that the RB8 has good race pace. But the Red Bull driver is concerned about the high degradation of the rubber on the Sakhir circuit.
" The car works much better here but the first part of qualifying was not easy?, comments Mark Webber. “It was a good session for me, I have never qualified so well on this circuit. Sebastian (Vettel) put in a good lap to take pole and we are both happy to be at the front. The team worked very hard for this. We haven't been very strong on Saturday until today but we are on Sunday. We can have a good race tomorrow but tire strategy will be really important. Many drivers, including ourselves, used a lot of tires in qualifying. »
