Felipe Massa had a great performance by taking sixth place on the grid alongside his teammate Fernando Alonso. But the Sao Paulista will have to fall back to ninth position for having slowed down Mark Webber during qualifying. The pilot Ferrari will thus be found between the McLaren of Sergio Pérez and the Force India of Paul di Resta. Romain Grosjean will thus start from sixth row ahead of Mark Webber.
Esteban Gutiérrez received the same three-place penalty for blocking Kimi Räikkönen. The Sauber driver, who did not perform any miracles this afternoon, now falls to 19th place between the Caterham of Giedo van der Garde and the Marussia of Jules Bianchi. The pilots Williams are the first beneficiaries since Valtteri Bottas inherits 16th position ahead of his teammate Pastor Maldonado.
