Fernando Alonso confident for the future

Starting from fifth place on the grid, Fernando Alonso missed his start by being overtaken by the two Silver Arrows. But the pilot of the Team still managed to grab the podium, despite two off-track events and a spin. The Asturian is the driver who has scored the most points in the last three races.

“We are confident of having a good second half of the season”, confirms the double World Champion at the finish of the Hungarian GP. " The car has been much improved and we are now fighting for podiums and poles. This month has been fantastic because I am the driver who scored the most points in the three races, which were all contested in different conditions. Unfortunately, it was not very hot in July. We like high temperatures and hope to be better off in August and September. »

Fernando Alonso, however, was on a poor track to score a new podium after a missed start by the Spaniard. “The race is really very long with conditions like this, you always have to stay focused on the number of stops and the weather conditions. My departure did not go as planned, I had to overtake Nico (Rosberg) and Michael (Schumacher) and I found myself stuck behind Mark (Webber) during the stops. I was then able to enjoy a clear track but I was slowed down for 20 laps. »
