Ferrari: Arrivabene still requires patience

La Team Ferrari is still having a difficult season. The Italian team is still chasing the title, its last coronation among the Drivers dating back to 2007 with Kimi Räikkönen while it has not finished first among the Manufacturers since 2008.

The situation became complicated with the dominations of Red Bull Racing and Mercedes F1. The Maranello team has not won since the Singapore Grand Prix where Sebastian Vettel had imposed itself.

If the Prancing Horse was able to secure a podium on home soil in Monza with the quadruple world champion who finished ahead of his teammate Kimi Räikkönen, the pressure is growing on the shoulders of his Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene.

“Sergio Marchionne (the president of the Fiat Group which includes Ferrari) sees the changes made in the team, but things don't change overnight and you still need a little patience, assured the Italian. The team structure is good and solid. There are enough people at Ferrari capable of working at the highest level. He is obviously not satisfied with our results so far and is looking forward to the next season. »

Maurizio Arrivabene also responded to criticism that Scuderia Ferrari should have carried out a one-stop strategy at the Italian Grand Prix like Mercedes did.

“I heard some comments that we had chosen the worst strategy and I couldn't help but laugh with my engineers because we should have faded at some point in the race. We did the exact opposite by being aggressive! », retorted the Italian.
