Ferrari unveils special livery for its 1000th GP at Mugello

Ferrari began the celebrations of its 1000th Grand Prix in Formula 1 by unveiling an anniversary livery this Wednesday.

This weekend at Mugello, a track which has been owned by the Scuderia since 1988, the SF1000 will be adorned with a burgundy red dress, similar to that of the Ferrari 125 F1 fielded during the Scuderia's very first Grand Prix: it's was in Monaco on May 21, 1950. The combinations of Charles Leclerc et Sebastian Vettel will be the same color.

Since then, the Maranello house is the only team to have participated in all seasons of the Formula 1 world championship, even if it made a few rare disloyalties to the premier category. Starting with the very first GP in history at Silverstone on May 13, 1950.

Despite a difficult 2020 campaign weighed down by poor results and a car missed, Ferrari retains its prestige and aura intact among lovers of the discipline.

The Scuderia's 1000th GP celebrations will also include 2 fans in the stands. They will succeed the 880 members of the healthcare staff present in Monza last weekend.

Saturday evening, an event has been planned in the heart of the nearby city of Florence.

Finally, on Sunday, before the start of the first Tuscan Grand Prix in history, Mick Schumacher, member of the Ferrari Driver Academy and currently fighting for the title F2, will take the wheel of the F2004 in which his father Michael won his 7th and last title 16 years ago.
