Ferrari struggles with its lack of reliability

La Team Ferrari took advantage of these three weeks of break in the calendar to finalize certain adjustments which will allow Alonso and for Massa to fight for victory again. It must be said that the Spaniard must be keen to succeed in his Grand Prix in Barcelona since he will be racing on his home soil. Massa, for his part, is already 9 points behind his teammate and will do everything in his power to get back on the double world champion.

Ferrari therefore hopes to offer these two drivers the opportunity to compete on the front of the stage this weekend, by bringing to the F10 an engine evolution approved by the FIA. Scuderia Ferrari is indeed experiencing reliability problems this year and took advantage of this long three-week break in the calendar to work on the V8.

“From China, everyone in the Gestione Sportiva has been working hard, as always in different areas, but it is fair to say that in recent weeks the staff working on the engine have produced a real effort, working day and night to analyze, evaluate and resolve problems that affected the engine's performance in previous races," the Scuderia said in a press release. "A lot of work was carried out on the test bench, followed by a succession of several long runs. This work has provided solutions and we believe we have resolved known reliability issues in Bahrain and Malaysia. »

Ferrari has also worked on aerodynamic developments which will be tested by both drivers during free practice on Friday. The drivers will decide after these tests to keep these aerodynamic developments for qualifying and the Grand Prix.
