Things are moving towards Maranello. After a 2020 season to forget, the Scuderia wants to quickly get back on track with a view to returning to the summits of the F1. To do this, Ferrari has reviewed its organization just over a month before the first Grand Prix in Bahrain (March 28).
In search of better performance and higher efficiency, the management of Scuderia Ferrari has decided to restructure its chassis department. The latter will now be divided into four sectors.
David Sanchez will be in charge of the vehicle design while Enrico Cardile will take care of the chassis performance. Fabio Montecchi and Diego Ioverno will complete the department. The first will manage the engineering of the chassis project, the second the operation of the vehicle.
In addition, racing engineering will be integrated into the chassis performance department led by Enrico Cardile.
Enrico Cardile (chassis department), Enrico Gualtieri (powertrain manager), Laurent Mekies (in charge of sportsmanship) and Gianmaria Fulgenzi (head of supply chain) will report directly to Mattia Binotto, team principal and director of Italian stable.
