Fisichella keeps the faith

Giancarlo, are you satisfied with your car and your start to the season?
For the moment, it?s another difficult season. We expected to be much more competitive, and even fight for points. This is not the case, in particular because the car arrived late and we noticed problems with aerodynamic downforce. We then took the right direction, notably by integrating a double-stage diffuser. The team has done a good job but it's not enough.

Are you hoping for better things in Monaco?
Here, the changes are really minimal. We are waiting for our new front wing, which should be ready for the Turkish GP. In Monaco, the weekend will be difficult because we need good support, which we don't have. I have a very good feeling with this circuit but, even with a good place on the grid, this track can bring a different verdict in the race.

We saw that Srec could help pilots. Knowing that Monaco is not a track where Srec is useful, when do you plan to integrate it?
We hope we will have it for the German Grand Prix. In theory, I hope to be able to gain two to three tenths per lap with it, but we will have to see if this is achievable in practice.

On a personal level, what does your future hold? Test driver Vitantonio Liuzzi reportedly said he was assured of a steering wheel next season?
It's a good thing for him. For my part, I hope to improve the car's performance this season. I can assure you that I am still motivated and continue to enjoy the races. We will see what the future holds for me but, for the moment, I am fully focused on my current season.
