Fisichella: “The dream of my life”

Giancarlo Fisichella made his debut as a Ferrari driver this Thursday at Maranello. After meeting Stefano Domenicali, boss of the Scuderia, the driver then spoke at length with the engineers of the prancing horse firm. Certainly moved by the fact of driving for Ferrari, at 36 years old, Giancarlo Fisichella knows the magnitude of the task that awaits him. “ I will do my best to thank the Scuderia for the opportunity it offers me. I know it won't be easy but I will do everything to achieve the best possible results. »

Recruited by Ferrari for the last five races of the season, Giancarlo Fisichella does not forget to spare a thought for the driver he is replacing, Luca Badoer. “ I'm really sorry for Luca: I know how much he dreamed of driving a Ferrari at Monza, because it's the best thing that can happen to an Italian driver »

But, despite the conditions of his arrival at Ferrari, the former Force India driver prefers to enjoy the present moment, living a very happy period in his racing career. “ Only incredible things have happened to me since last week: pole position and my second place (in the race) at Spa, and now I am called by Ferrari to compete in the last five races. » But, in order not to suffer the same disappointment as Luca Badoer, Giancarlo Fisichella will have to quickly get his feet back on the ground.
