Force India uncertain for Belgian GP

Force India is at the center of the spotlight for this return to school F1. The takeover of the Indian team during the summer break by Lawrence Stroll (the driver's father Williams Lance stroll) leads to many changes within the organization. After removing the name “Force India” from all its hardware, it is now the presence of the team's commitment to the Belgian GP this weekend which is called into question.

This change of entity could indeed pose a problem in terms of the sporting regulations written by the FIA. The new team set up must already obtain the agreement of rival teams to be able to change its name and could also lose its points in the Manufacturers' Championship.

“As far as I know, it’s not a problem. It's the usual, said Sergio Pérez in the Spa paddock, the Mexican who participated in putting Force India under administration last month. I'm here to drive and do my job. I plan to take advantage of this weekend and concentrate on my performances, that’s my priority. »

Sergio Pérez prefers to focus on the situation in the Championship where he is one point ahead of his teammate Esteban Ocon occupying 10th place tied with Carlos Sainz Jr.

“The team is rather optimistic and satisfied because we have developments that will happen soon and we have a new structure which offers a more stable future financially for the coming years. I was at the factory this week and saw great enthusiasm among the staff.”, assured the Mexican.

For his part, Esteban Ocon explained that he still did not know what his future would look like for the 2019 season.
