Force India tests two young drivers

The three days of testing planned for the beginning of December in Jerez will see many young drivers parade. Among those who will have the privilege of discovering the car, Paul di Resta and JR Hildebrand will be at the wheel of the Force India VJM02. Aged 23, the former finished third in the Championship DTM in 2009 within the team Mercedes. Previously, the Briton won the Championship F3 Euro Series in 2006 in front of drivers like Sébastian Hag.

« I'm excited to join Force India for this test “, admitted di Resta. “ I worked hard in the simulator and did my best in DTM, so I am confident in my ability to be fast. This is a fantastic opportunity for me because the F1 has always been my dream and I feel like I'm getting a little closer to it. »

For his part, JR Hildebrand has just won the Indy Lights Championship. Aged 21, the American also impressed following his performances in the team simulator last month. “ I know it's a big challenge but I'm ready to take it on “, he said. " The objective is to learn the track and the car in order to show my potential later. »

The first two days will see the drivers alternate their positions during the sessions; Hildebrand will be the first to get into the car on Tuesday morning before di Resta takes over in the afternoon. The next day, they will exchange positions. Finally, the team has not yet announced who will drive on day three.
