Frédéric Vasseur: “Winning is learned”

Inductee responsible for the competition of the new entity Renault Sport Racing during the presentation of the team Renault Sport F1 Team last february, Frederic Vasseur faces a new challenge after successfully presiding over the destiny of ART Grand Prix for many years.

The Frenchman was able to admire the first turns of the wheels of the new RS16 during the two pre-season testing sessions held on the Catalan track in Barcelona between the end of February and the first week of March.

Runs which allowed Renault to gain precious kilometers (7415) with a view to the next steps in the plan put in place for the Diamond brand to return to the forefront of the discipline.

“We must consolidate the team, offer it the men and technical means that it still lacks, and build a technical concept for 2017, (with an expected regulatory change) more than aiming for results at all costs, admits Frédéric Vasseur, when asked about the objectives for the 2016 championship.

Which doesn't mean we won't fight for the best possible outcome. Winning is learned, but it is also a mentality and training... We must set a road map, an objective that matches our present potential so as not to lose this desire to perform. »
