Frits van Amersfoort: “A Verstappen always drives with the knife between his teeth”

The career in promotion formulas Max Verstappen is childishly simple to summarize since the Dutch crack player only played one season at the lower levels. It was in the European Championship Formula 3 FIA during a 2014 campaign which quickly acquired the status of vintage vintage due to an intense fight in the ranking, finally won by a certain Esteban Ocon at Prema. Jos' son, for his part, raced under the colors of the Van Amersfoort Racing team, a Dutch structure founded in 1975 by Frits van Amersfoort. The latter remembers it very well, having driven almost all the professional drivers from the Netherlands over the last 30 years. Between two phone calls to the celebrity press of his country, eager for information on the new hero Orange, Van Amersfoort agreed to tell us about Max's debut in single-seaters. From the first spins of the wheel, it became clear to him that the cheeky youngster knew how to handle the hoop!
