Grosjean feared for his safety in Baku

The mysterious evil on the Haas VF17 of Romain Grosjean was again present last weekend at the Azerbaijan GP. The Frenchman was once again plagued by major brake problems from the start of practice through to the race, and even spoke of wanting to retire during the Grand Prix as the former GP2 Series champion was struggling so badly. comfortable behind the wheel of his car.

Romain Grosjean seems to be the only one affected by this problem, his teammate Kevin Magnussen not reporting any particular problems at this level. The Dane took 7th place while the Frenchman barely reached the finish line in 13th and last place.

“There are no comments to make, commented Romain Grosjean on Canal+. It was catastrophic from the start to the end of the weekend and there was not a moment where there was a glimmer of hope. We have to ask ourselves the right questions and find the problems. You can't have six sessions over a weekend and have a brake problem each time. It's getting dangerous. I even feared for my safety at one point, this is going too far. »

Romain Grosjean had three points finishes before the Azerbaijan GP. The Haas driver is 14th in the Championship, one point behind Kevin Magnussen.
