Grosjean dreams of podium again with Lotus

After a disastrous 2014 season, Lotus F1 Team decided to review its copy by abandoning the Power Unit of Renault for the 6l V1.6 turbo / hybrid Mercedes more efficient. The 2015 season is therefore a new start for Romain Grosjean and Lotus F1 Team. “We can hope to return to the podium in 2015, and if possible to the top step,” commented the former GP2 champion before taking the wheel of the Lotus E23 in Jerez (Spain). “I am very satisfied with what has been achieved in certain areas and it is no secret to say that I can't wait to test the Mercedes Power Unit. The car looks competitive from the outside and under the bodywork. The aero department is positive about the results obtained in the wind tunnel. »

Romain Grosjean is clearly more optimistic about his chances of performing well this year. “We can do great things,” added the French pilot. “If I was a betting man, I would bet on good results for us. I'm sure we can surprise people. The last season did not reflect our true potential. »

Romain Grosjean is currently testing the Lotus E23 for the first time in Jerez where the last test session of the week is taking place.
