Gutièrrez and Leimer testing with Sauber

For the third consecutive year, the tests F1 allowing the teams to give driving time to the rookies will take place on the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. They will be held for three days, from November 15 to 17, the week following the Grand Prix. Sauber will entrust the wheel of its C30 for two days to Esteban Gutièrrez, the reserve of the Swiss team. Already present on this occasion last year, the 20-year-old Mexican finished 13th in the GP2 Series with Lotus ART, not without winning a victory in Valencia. Peter Sauber's team will also allow Fabio Leimer, for a day, to take his first laps in an F1 car. Aged 22, the Swiss finished 14th in the final GP2 standings, including a victory in Barcelona in May.

“We are delighted to offer this opportunity to Fabio, underlines Monisha Kaltenborn, Managing Director of Sauber. Testing opportunities for young drivers are very limited these days, and it's always exciting to see how they perform with all the complexity of a Formula 1 test.
