Haas F1 Team switches to Carbon Industries brakes

The Haas VF17 of Romain Grosjean et Kevin Magnussen will compete in the Russian GP this weekend in Sochi with Carbon Industries brake calipers replacing the Brembo used until the Bahrain Grand Prix.

“We tested the Carbon Industries brake calipers during testing the week after the Grand Prix in Bahrain and they were satisfactory.. So we will use them from now on”, commented Kevin Magnussen in the Sochi paddock.

Kevin Magnussen does not seem particularly affected by this change.

“We’ve had good results with them and hopefully this will help us get good results. We will test them again during free practice. We can always go back to Brembos later if it doesn't suit us." said the Haas driver.

Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean are tied in the Drivers' standings with 4 points scored. Haas F1 Team occupies 7th place among the Manufacturers with four units of Toro Rosso.
