Hamilton delighted with his position at Sepang

Lewis Hamilton can still be satisfied with the performance of its Mercedes W04 after qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix. After achieving decent times in the dry during the first two qualifying sessions, the 2008 world champion was also effective on the wet Sepang track. “I am quite satisfied with my fourth place on the grid given the conditions encountered”, comments the Briton. “The car wasn’t bad in the dry but the balance could have been much better. Conditions then became difficult with rain in Q3. »

By choosing to keep his intermediate tires, Lewis Hamilton managed to place himself on the second row behind Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari by Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso. The Flèche d’Argent driver still wants to fight on a dry track for the Grand Prix. “We completed our lap with more worn tires than the others in front of us, but our speed was good and I can't complain. This is my second race where I will start from the second row and we already have a lot of positives to take from this weekend. Our speed on the long runs also seems quite satisfactory compared to the other teams and I hope we will have dry weather tomorrow. »
