Hamilton and Rosberg happy to return to the Chinese GP

After leaving the Malaysian GP victory to Sebastian Vettel, Mercedes plans to regain control this weekend in Shanghai where the reigning world champion team remains on a double. If the Team Ferrari was able to better preserve its tires on the abrasive Sepang track, the conditions encountered on the Chinese track should suit the W06 Hybrid better.

Lewis Hamilton will be a favorite since he is the greatest winner of the Chinese GP with three successes to his credit (2008, 2011 and 2014). “The track is different compared to Albert Park (Australia) and Sepang, but I like it because it suits my riding style. I won the last edition and only missed the podium twice (retirement in 2007 and 6th place in 2009). The objective is to stay on this trend and return to the forefront. »

Same story with Nico Rosberg even if the German is struggling to stand out at the start of the season. “It’s a great circuit for me. It’s here that I won my first pole and my first victory, during my 3rd season with the Silver Arrows.”, recalls the winner of the 2012 edition. “It’s not a perfect start to the season in my 6th year with the team and I’m looking to turn things around this weekend. Obviously, my teammate and my compatriot in the red car will have other ideas in mind. But this route has always suited me well and I think I will get a good result. »
