Hamilton: “My best year so far” in F1

Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) seems unbeatable in 2019. The Briton counts, after the first ten races of the season Formula 1, seven victories and 39 points ahead of his teammate Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes). Suffice to say that he is approaching the German meeting (July 26-28) with confidence.

The five-time world champion feels privileged to be in such a situation, especially since nothing suggested this at the end of the winter tests. “When we were in Barcelona (Spain) this winter, the guys from Ferrari were doing really good laps and we couldn't keep up with them. We were super nervous, he reveals to the official F1 website.

I think that if we had left Catalonia without discovering the changes to be made to the car, we would not be ahead at the moment. This is my best year yet (in F1)! » Since these pre-season tests, everything has changed, and Ferrari has still not had the slightest success since Kimi Räikkönen in Austin (Texas) in October 2018!

Lewis Hamilton would, however, like to see a strong comeback from the Reds, just to spice up his races. “The improvements each team is making in this sport are incredible. I can’t wait to see the developments developed by the teams. For example, knowing how Ferrari is going to use its tires, the evos that we will do on the support, etc. »
