Hamilton will fall at least 15 places

In the aftermath of statements by Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes F1 has confirmed that the W07 Hybrid of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg will have new Power Units for the Belgian Grand Prix held this August 28 at Spa-Francorchamps.

Lewis Hamilton will receive a minimum 15-place penalty with the installation of a sixth MGU-H (hybrid energy) and a sixth turbo while the regulations limit the number of changes to five for the season. A fourth motor and a fourth MGU-K (braking energy recovery) were also installed.

IF the change will not involve a sanction for Nico Rosberg, the German will only have one possible change before crossing the limit of five engines (and its elements) authorized without penalty.
