At each Grand Prix its record for Lewis Hamilton et Mercedes. After having exceeded Michael Schumacher for the greatest number of victories in Formula 1, it's the turn of the Star brand to erase Ferrari tablets this Sunday, November 1st.
Mercedes is in fact the first manufacturer to win seven crowns consecutively, improving by one title Ferrari's score achieved between 1999 and 2004. A feat achieved at Imola (Italy) thanks to yet another double, Lewis Hamilton having finished ahead of his teammate Valtteri Bottas.

“I look at my team here, and I know all the men and women in the factory, in Brackley and Brixworth – they are the unsung heroes”, declared the man with 93 successes in F1.
“They were the ones who really hung in there and never gave up, they just kept pushing and innovating.” » Lewis Hamilton also knows that this domination can annoy motorsport fans, but the Englishman wants to point out the level of work necessary to reach such a level.
“People look at us and might think we're used to it. But it still feels like “the first time” with this team, and I think it’s because of the team spirit.
“So I’m always, always grateful to everyone for being a part of it, for helping break a record like this.” No team has done this before. Seven times champions, that's something I'll be able to tell my grandchildren one day. »
