Hartley could stay at Toro Rosso

Brendon Hartley is preparing this weekend to become the ninth New Zealander to compete in a Grand Prix of F1. The official driver Porsche, winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans this year and on track to win a second world title in WEC, will replace Pierre Gasly alongside Daniil Kvyat while the Frenchman will try to win the Super Formula crown the same weekend at Suzuka with the Mugen team.

We announce to you in issue 2136 of AUTOhebdo that the presence of Brendon Hartley should not be reduced to a single participation in Austin (Texas). Without a suitor mature enough to supplant the Russian, Red Bull would have chosen to enter the Eurocup Formula champion Renault 2.0 2007 on the other three events remaining this season. The stable of Faenza would keep an identical crew in 2018 with Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley, all this at the expense of Daniil Kvyat who is struggling to convince.

Discover all the information on Brendon Hartley's commitment to F1 and the analysis of the 6 Hours of Fuji carried out by our special correspondent in AUTO issue 2136hebdo, available now in digital version on all platforms and on kiosks.
