Sébastien Buemi could he replace Jolyon Palmer or Kevin Magnussen in Renault Sport F1 Team? Christian Horner, Team Principal of Red Bull Racing, in any case suggested this idea in the journal Blick.
“We are ready to place Buemi at Renault. It would be ideal for the official team of our engine manufacturer. He is fast, hardworking and experienced. We can call him at three in the morning to come to the factory, he won’t even complain.”, declared the Briton.
After three seasons spent with Toro Rosso from 2009 to 2011, the Swiss continued to work for the Austrian structure. Its main program focused on WEC with Toyota with whom he won the world title in 2014. The Swiss pilot, also in the running for the coronation in Formula e with Renault e.dams, narrowly missed out on victory last weekend at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
