Horner: Renault can put Red Bull back at the forefront

After beating the Team Ferrari being the only team with Mercedes to have won Grands Prix last year, Red Bull Racing will have increased ambitions this year based on the new regulations. The Milton Keynes stable hopes to end the star constrictor's dominance and return to its run of success with Sebastian Vettel.

If the implementation of the 6l V1.6 turbo / hybrid has given rise to tensions between Red Bull and Renault, the Red Bull once again places its trust in the French engine manufacturer to reconnect with the forefront.

“The engine will be designed with a different philosophy this year. They had a busy winter, recognized Christian Horner, Team Principal of Red Bull Racing. We hope to see progress in terms of performance. We could therefore become contenders this season and complicate the task of Mercedes and Ferrari. With its 3 world titles, Mercedes is the team to beat currently. They have set the bar very high and that is what we are aiming for. We can count on a very solid crew (with Daniel Ricciardo et Max Verstappen). "

The Briton seems optimistic about the potential of the RB13, with Red Bull's technical team renowned for its design quality.

“The RB13 is one of our most beautiful cars because the design of the car made with the new regulations gives it beautiful proportions. She seems very fast and if the old adage is true, it's a good thing for us.", he added.

The Red Bull RB13 will be presented on Sunday February 26 on the eve of the first winter tests in Barcelona (Spain).
