HRT has a lot of work ahead of it

If HRT was able to compete in the Malaysian Grand Prix, the F112 does not yet meet the standards required at this level. The truce before the meeting in Shanghai was taken advantage of by Luis Pérez-Sala's team.

HRT has a lot of work ahead of it

After being banned from starting at Albert Park, HRT was able to raise the level to fall below 107% in qualifying at Sepang. After having fallen considerably behind in the development of the F112, the Hispanic team will have difficulty achieving a better season than in previous years. IF the task proves difficult while the team is undergoing significant restructuring, Team Principal Luis Pérez-Sala refuses to give up and has welcomed with open arms the break in the calendar so that the engineers can work on the development of the new car.

Luis Pérez-Sala acknowledges that the start of the season is particularly difficult for the team but remains confident about the potential of the F112 later in the season. “The start of the season has been very complicated because we are behind our schedule compared to the other teams. We have made colossal efforts to be present in Australia and improve our performance a week later in Malaysia. There is still a lot to do and many areas to improve so that we are where we should be. At least we had time to analyze the data, prepare and recharge our batteries. I am sure we will be in a better situation when we arrive in China. We must not forget that the F112 is still in its infancy and that we must progress without interruption. We will have slight changes in Shanghai to improve cooling and aero and the objective this weekend will be to verify that these adjustments work. In summary, we need to get the full potential of the car while improving teamwork and coordination. »
