Hülkenberg: “It doesn’t mean anything”

Fastest driver of the day, Nico Hülkenberg (Williams) does not want to catch fire. He knows that his first place is of little significance.

Nico Hulkenberg, one of the newbies on the set, but who has been working with Williams, achieved the best time of the day in Barcelona, ahead of experienced drivers such as Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) and Pedro de la Rosa (Sauber). Despite this great learning result, the GP2 Series champion is well aware that this best time is not significant, as the references are difficult to establish.

« We had a good day of testing, recognizes the young German. Finishing first today is a good thing but, to be honest, it doesn't mean anything. We are not in Bahrain yet! It?s good for the team and for me to see what good the car can do. We worked well on the settings today and found several interesting details. I feel ready and confident before going to Bahrain. »
