Jaime Alguersuari comes back against Marko

The former pilot Toro Rosso Jaime Alguersuari once again attacked Helmut Marko, after the latter once again made unflattering remarks against the Spaniard. Indeed, the head of the young pilot detection program Red Bull, confided that if Buemi and Alguersuari had lost their steering wheel, it was because the team needed real winners.

Which obviously did not please the young Spaniard. The latter did not hesitate to say what he thought of these recent statements. “Although respecting the decision to no longer want my services, Helmut's comments are unacceptable, Alguersuari admits to Sportsmail. They said we were good drivers, but not winners. However, how can we win a race if we are not given a car that is incapable of regularly slipping into the top 10.”

Especially since with an eighth place in the Constructors' championship in 2011 compared to a ninth in 2010, the Torro Rosso gear seemed to be working. “I obviously didn’t expect this decision, continues the Barcelonan. Whether it's Sébastien (Buemi. Editor’s note) or me, we did a good job last season. But in Formula 1, no one can ever predict what will happen. Whatever happens, I showed what I could do behind the wheel of a modest car. I am now looking for bigger challenges. I really hope to return to F1 one day to demonstrate what I can do. I would fight for this return. That's for sure. »

In the meantime, the Spaniard will continue to roam the paddocks, but as a commentator for BBC Radio. This will allow him to stay in contact with the world of F1 and, why not, negotiate a return this year as a test driver.
