A new academy for Jak Crawford. The 18-year-old driver, who will compete in the 2024 season of Formula 2 with DAMS, joins the young pilot program Aston Martin, which notably features Felipe Drugovich. The American was a member of Red Bull Junior Team until the end of 2023, before losing the support of the Austrian clan.

Jak Crawford, 13th in the Formula 2 championship last year (one victory, five podiums), has a certain track record in promotional formulas, with a 2nd place in German F4 in 2020, a 3rd place in Euroformula Open in 2021 and a 7th place in Formula 3 in 2022 (with a victory).

In his new role at Aston Martin, the native of Charlotte (United States) will be called upon to work on the simulator at Silverstone, while the British team should allow him to take a place in Formula 1 during private tests, behind the wheel of the AMR22.

“I am proud to take this new step in my career. Aston Martin is a great place to learn and develop, and the upcoming program looks exciting, rejoices Jak Crawford. I can't wait to start working with everyone, especially on the simulator where I can contribute to the team's performance during the race weekends. I’m excited to have the chance to drive the AMR22 car later this year. It is a great motivation for me to work hard and make the most of this great opportunity. »
