James Allison leaves Scuderia Ferrari

Rumors of James Allison's departure from the Team Ferrari check themselves. The Prancing Horse stable has confirmed the end of the contract of its technical director a year before its end by mutual agreement, after having suffered a disappointing first part of the season where it failed to achieve a single victory.

“During the years spent at Ferrari, where I evolved in different positions, I learned to appreciate the value of the team and its personnel. I want to thank them all for their great professionalism and for the human experience that we shared. I wish everyone a bright future and many successes”, commented James Allison.

The British engineer will be replaced by Mattia Binotto who took his first steps at Ferrari in 1995 as an engine test engineer and has since worked in the Power Unit department. He could return to Britain to offer his services to teams such as Renault Sport F1 team.
