Jordan King remains Manor development driver

British Champion F3 in 2013 with Carlin, while being lined up in the European F3 Championship, the Briton Jordan king took the plunge last year by entering the GP2 Series, while becoming development driver by Manor F1 Team from the Australian Grand Prix.

A program which will be renewed in 2016 for the 22-year-old driver, who will return to his seat in GP2 with Racing Engineering, while retaining his prerogatives as development driver for the now Manor Racing entity.

“I was at the Abu Dhabi test, where Jordan drove our car for the first time and he did an impressive job, comments Dave Ryan, new sporting director of Manor Racing. It was clear that he had taken full advantage of the opportunity to be integrated into the team and understand systems, processes and working with people.

Over the winter he helped refine the driver position in the new chassis, pending the signing of our regular drivers, so the development driver role is mutually beneficial. »

Manor will field Indonesian Rio Haryanto this Tuesday for the first day of the second session of Barcelona's pre-season testing in Catalonia, behind the wheel of the MRT05.
