Kazuki Nakajima under pressure?

Adossé au moteur Toyota, Kazuki Nakajima has shown interesting competitiveness since the start of the season. But his scoreless score after twelve Grands Prix while Rosberg is in sixth place in the championship inevitably raises some questions.

“It?s not ideal,” confided Sam Michael, technical director of Williams. “If we had a second driver with as many points as Nico, we would be third in the championship. But I don't want to blame the pilot. He was in position to score points on several occasions. It’s sometimes because of the team that he couldn’t finish in the top 8.”

Williams is currently trying to convince Nico Rosberg, who is also in high demand, to stay for another season and is expected to extend his contract. Nico Hulkenberg, Grove's reserve driver this season and GP2 leader. Nakajima's position would be further weakened if Williams decided to part ways with the Toyota engine in 2010.
