Kimi Räikkönen visits Maranello

As the British Grand Prix looms this weekend at Silverstone, Kimi Räikkönen spent the day Maranello in Italy. The Finn took the opportunity to chat with Scuderia Ferrari Technical Director James Allison and his race engineer Antonio Spagnolo after meeting President Luca Di Montezemolo and Team Principal Marco Mattiacci.

“It was useful to come here to Maranello to speak with my engineers. We know what we need to improve on and we are now looking forward to the next race. Silverstone is a circuit with a great tradition and on top of that the fans are knowledgeable and they are happy to support you whatever team you drive for, says Räikkönen. The track has changed a bit over the last few years, but I really like it. It's a real challenge with all these fast turns. It rains often, which means it can become a lottery, but it's the same for everyone. All I can say is that, as usual, we will try to do our best. »

In parallel with information on the developments of the F14 T, Räikkönen was able to make contact with the Italian team's 2015 project on which the transalpine engineers are already working. Iceman will be on track from Friday morning for the first free practice sessions in England, which will be followed live on our website.
