Iceman prefers dry. Best time at the end of Q2 on a dry track in the middle of qualifications contested in changing climatic conditions, Kimi Räikkönen could not do better than 8th in the end. The fault was a Q3 started in the rain. “When it was dry during the second part of qualifying we were the fastest, so if it's dry tomorrow it should be okay for the race, even if we don't start from a good position”, judged the Lotus driver.
“Q3 was wet and our car (the E21, Editor’s note) does not give his best in this type of condition, added the 2007 world champion. Each lap started as late as possible in the session could have helped, but if it had stayed dry then it would have helped us even more. Tomorrow is another day so we just have to wait and see what happens?, concluded Kimi Räikkönen.
