Kubica admits he has 'very slim' chances of returning

Robert Kubica once again found himself at the center of attention in the paddocks F1 by carrying out several test sessions with Renault Sports F1 Team. The Pole is likely to take part in private tests soon with Williams Racing, but the prospect of getting back behind the wheel as a starting driver still seems far away.

“I am very realistic and I know that the chances of returning to a full-time drive in F1 are very slim, recognized Robert Kubica on the Auto magazine published by the FIA. I discover my new limits every day, but I always hoped to at least one day have the chance to come back. I did a lot of kilometers on a simulator and I drove in other disciplines, but I knew that only F1 could give me back the special sensations that I experienced and that was true. »

Robert Kubica is seeking to return to the forefront in the discipline despite the after-effects of his accident at the Ronde di Andora (Italy) in 2011, leaving him with a handicap in his hand.

“Life gave me so much and it all went away in an instant. They say time heals everything but that wasn't the case for me. In reality, it makes me suffer more, added Robert Kubica. I initially thought I would regain all my physical abilities fairly quickly, but that didn't happen and the expected progress didn't happen. It was hard but I realized it and accepted it. I was then able to move on. This accident changed my life, but I am aware that I would not be here to talk about it within a few inches. »
