Kvyat: “I thought the race was over for me”

Daniil Kvyat is one of the big winners of the German GP lottery where the rain turned everything upside down. Discreet in the peloton for a large part of the race, the Russian found himself at the front when his team put him on slick tires when the track dried out during the penultimate caution.

This race was crazy, but I was finally able to get back on the podium. I thought the race was over for me, but everything worked out afterwards. It was like a roller coaster, just like my career. »

Daniil Kvyat took the opportunity to announce that he had just become the father of a little girl this weekend. The Toro Rosso driver couldn't have asked for better. Just like Toro Rosso who also took 6th place with Alexander albon and who finds himself in 5th place in the Manufacturers' championship with 3 units ahead of Renault.
