“For us, as a team, this is honestly a dream start to our campaign. We never imagined recording three consecutive doubles”, first indicates the bearer of the number 77.
Valtteri Bottas was in an excellent position on the starting grid, thanks to his pole position. Except that this location was clearly a poisoned chalice... « There was a strip of white paint just after my position, I had some skating going over it. And I lost my place to Lewis (Hamilton).
And to think that custom dictates that pole position is a definite advantage for the race! “In this sport, everything is about details, so unfortunately it was this detail that decided the rest of my race”, Valtteri Bottas justifies himself.
