As announced by AUTOhebdo a little earlier this Tuesday and already confirmed by the revelation of the official calendar for the 2023 season, Formula 1 and the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) have reached an agreement until 2025 for the Monaco Grand Prix.

“I am happy to confirm that we will be racing in Monaco until 2025 and excited to be back on the streets of this famous Principality for next year's championship on May 28, says Stefano Domenicali, F1 president. I would like to thank everyone involved in this renewal and in particular HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Michel Boeri, President of the Automobile Club of Monaco and his entire team. We look forward to being back next season to continue our partnership together. »

“In the interest of the Formula 1 world championship, and after several months of negotiations, we are proud to announce that we have signed a 3-year agreement with Formula 1, which is subject to renewal, adds Michelo Boeri, president of the Automobile Club of Monaco. The 1 Monaco Formula 2023 Grand Prix will take place on Sunday May 28, 2023.”

The complete calendar for the 2023 Formula 1 season was unveiled this Tuesday, September 20 by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile. Made up of 24 dates, the next exercise will begin in Bahrain on March 5 and end in Abu Dhabi on November 26. If it avoids the confrontation of dates with the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, June 10 and 11, 2023, this will not be the case with the Indy 500 which will take place on May 28… like the Monaco Grand Prix.

For the spectacle, Indianapolis is better than Monaco where the race is often reduced to a procession! What about lengthening the track to provide overtaking possibilities?
